Drew has been teaching guitar, saxophone, clarinet, and flute lessons to students of all ages and ability levels for over ten years. He also has experience teaching music composition, music theory, and aural skills along with directing saxophone ensembles and group lessons. His students have received perfect scores on the highest levels of ABRSM and NYSSMA tests.

As a teacher, Drew's philosophy is to cater the lessons toward the student's individual interests while focusing on the fundamental skills of their instrument. By finding material that they are interested in, he hopes to inspire them to go home and practice. Playing music should be a fun experience instead of a chore.

Drew received a Bachelor of Music in Classical Saxophone Performance from Truman State University located in Kirksville, Missouri. After graduating, he moved to New York City and received a Master of Music degree in Jazz Studies from New York University.

Drew is an easy-going guy who relates well to his students. He effectively teaches the basics while helping the student discover their own ability and find joy in playing.
